To register an agent switching to your property agency in Singapore, the agent initiates the request via the Advanced CEA Estate Agencies System (ACEAS), which goes to their current agency for approval, then to your agency, and finally back to the agent for submission to the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) for final processing, involving digital sign-offs and payments, with the new registration effective upon CEA approval.

For the Agent (Real Estate Salesperson - RES) ( LOGIN WITH YOUR SINGPASS TO INFORM CURRENT AGENCY OF YOUR SWITCHING )

1. Notify Current EA: Inform your existing agency (EA) of your intention to switch and submit a switching request in ACEAS.

2. Wait for Approval: Your current EA must acknowledge or allow the request to be routed via ACEAS.

3. Apply to New EA: Log in to ACEAS, complete your application, and submit it to your new EA (your agency).

4. Provide Documents: Submit all required documents to your new EA. ​

For Your Agency (Estate Agent - EA)

1. Receive Request: Log in to ACEAS to find the pending switching request from the RES.

2. Support Request: Acknowledge and support the request in ACEAS.

3. Verify Application: Verify the RES's submitted application and supporting documents.

4. Submit to CEA: Submit the verified application and pay the relevant fees to CEA. ​

Key Things to Note

• ACEAS is Key: All steps are managed through the CEA's online ACEAS portal.

• Timing: The RES remains registered with their old EA until CEA approves the switch, which takes about 2-3 weeks.

• Renewal Period: If switching during the renewal period (after Sept 30), the new registration starts Jan 1.

• Bond Issues: The agent might need to settle outstanding obligations (like bonds) with their previous EA.
